“Balance isn’t something you find; it’s something you create”

Hi, I’m Lindsay Van Parys, and I’m happy you’re here. I’m a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner in both Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC) and Pediatrics (CPNP-PC).

For more than 13 years, I worked at the James L. Dennis Developmental Center (DDC), where I focused on diagnosing and treating children and adolescents, especially those with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. I was also an ABA line therapist in college and worked inpatient units at AR Children’s Hospital. For the last 3 years I have worked in outpatient mental health and LOVED the direct patient care aspect of but know that I was meant for more.

I opened Balance Your Life because I believe mental health care should feel different: warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported, whether you’re here for yourself or your child. I practice shared decision-making, meaning I don’t just hand out a plan; we work together to find what feels right, whether that includes medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or creative approaches that step outside the box.

I truly love what I do, and my patients often tell me that they can feel that. My hope is that when you walk through my door (or log-in to see me virtually), you feel cared for, empowered, and confident that you’re not alone in your pursuit of BALANCE. We will get there!
